Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri dixit was an Indian actress well-known for her role in the movies 'Beta' Saajan' and 'Hum Hain Koun . Her career in the industry began in the 1980s. She gained popularity through her part as a supporting actress in the film Tezaab. In the movie 'Dil' she starred alongside Aamir Khan. She was born into a Mumbai middle-class family, and started dancing at an early age. She began acting as an infant and had a difficult few years since most of her first films were flops. She was eventually successful and became one of the top actresses in Indian film. Following her marriage the couple separated and went back to the entertainment industry. In the past, she was an important role in the film 'Gulaab Gang", which was about the struggles of women in India. Dixit was nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she received eight. In addition, she was awarded the Padma Shri (the fourth highest civilian award in India). Her name is also well-known due to her social works.
