Robyn Rihanna Fenty, also known as Rihanna is a Barbadian artist and songwriter. She has brought us hit songs such as Pon de Replay SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. She's a hugely popular artist who has sold over 41 million albums around the world as well as more than 150 million tracks. Her birthplace was in Barbados and had a childhood filled in the reggae scene. As she started to sing, she became an accomplished singer. Afraid of her chaotic family life and conflicting with her parents, she immersed herself in music and before long realized that she wished to become a professional singer. When she was still in high school she was a part of a band group and was invited to perform for Evan Rodgers. The producer was impressed by the talent of this teenager. He asked the girl to make the move from her home in New York in order to take on a full-time job as a performer, something she readily accepted. Rihanna's debut album soon was a huge success and was described as a music sensation. The young people loved the songs that were upbeat, and this inspired Rihanna to make films. The young and gifted Rihanna is widely regarded as both a teen-idol and a fashion idol. Rihanna is also actively involved with charities and makes use of her popularity to help charities.
